On-Site Event Helper
MonsterArts is currently seeking applicants for the role of On-site Event Helper. This position will support #BollywoodMonster Mashup, a free multi-day South Asian arts festival with concerts, dance, food, family activities and celebrity meet & greets.
Duties
– Set up, tear down and help keep track of inventory
– Assist with vendor and sponsor load-in and load-out (e.g. show vendors and sponsors to their booth locations, ensure clear pathways for vehicles to drive safely, etc)
– Run errands during the event (e.g. pick up small items from the store). Note: while having access to a car is an asset, it is not a requirement.
Details
– Non-exclusive freelance contractor position
– You must attend two mandatory preparatory meetings in advance of the event on Tues Jul 14 and Tues Jul 21. The meetings will take place between the hours of 10am-4pm (exact timings TBC)
– You’ll be required to work two or three shifts (maximum 10 hours per shift) during the event days: Fri Jul 24 2026, Sat Jul 25 2026 and Sun Jul 26 2026. The shifts may be at any time of day or night, so please only apply if you’re available for the entire day on these three days.
– Compensation: $600 total if you attend both preparatory meetings and work two shifts, or $800 total if you attend both preparatory meetings and work three shifts.
– Must have access to your own cell phone

2) #MonsterArts for Youth and Seniors, where professional artists provide South Asian arts workshops in the community; and
3) #MonsterMasterclass, a business & marketing mentorship program for professional artists practicing South Asian art forms
MonsterArts is a hybrid team. Independent work takes place remotely while live events, weekly Tuesday team meetings and other stakeholder meetings are in-person in Mississauga. Please note that because we produce events, our in-person requirements are non-negotiable.
