Associate Coordinator & Specialist Roles
Starting at $18.10/hr (FT, PT, seasonal & annual contracts available)
Associate Music Engraver
Pre-production
– Transcribing music by ear into Sibelius and sending scratch tracks & PDF charts to session musicians
Production
– Answering questions from session musicians and setting up rehearsals and soundchecks
Post-production
– Collecting feedback from and updating processes regarding session musicians
Associate Social Media Coordinator
Pre-production
– Create a social media content calendar
– Reach out to local influencers to secure social media coverage for events
Production
– Post engaging content on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
– Respond to comments and DMs on our social media pages
– Capture photos, videos and behind-the-scenes interviews during live events
Post-production
– Track the performance of posts that we make and posts that others make about us
– Recommend improvements to social media processes and live event processes
Associate Public Relations Coordinator
Pre-production
– Draft press releases and coordinate editorial coverage & ad buys with print, radio, TV, online and out-of-home outlets
– Draft scripts for live events and other written content as needed
Production
– Secure media coverage & interviews for our events by pitching to media outlets
– Chaperone media and interviewees on-site during events
Post-production
– Track all media coverage received
– Recommend improvements to PR/media processes and live event processes
Associate Web Developer
Pre-production
– Update our WordPress website to convey key information to our target audiences, ensuring cross-browser & mobile compatibility, compliance with accessibility guidelines, UX & UI principles and proper SEO. Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript is required
Production
– Coordinate with the marketing team to create landing pages and other tracking tools
– Support the execution of company events (e.g. help set up the site, direct volunteers, etc.)
Post-production
– Compile website analytics and document web-related processes
– Recommend improvements to web processes and live event processes
Associate Graphic Designer
Pre-production
– Create and update templated marketing materials for print and online (print ads, billboards, web banners, brochures, social media graphics, etc.).
Production
– Coordinate with printing & merchandising vendors to get assets printed & delivered
– Support the execution of company events (e.g. help set up the site, direct volunteers, etc.)
Post-production
– Update our branding guidelines and database of production/printing contacts with new information
– Recommend improvements to graphic design processes and live event processes
Associate Community Outreach Coordinator
Pre-production
– Recruit & vet volunteers and design a volunteer schedule
– Collect paperwork from and send advancing information to vendors & sponsors participating in company events
Production
– Direct and supervise volunteers during events, ensuring adequate coverage across the site
– Assist with vendor & sponsor load-in and load-out (e.g. show vendors and sponsors to their booth locations, ensure clear pathways for vehicles to drive safely, etc)
Post-production
– Prepare volunteer hours documentation
– Recommend improvements to volunteer processes, vendor/sponsor processes and live event processes
Associate Event Coordinator
Pre-production
– Send and receive invoices, contracts and advancing documents from performers, vendors and event suppliers
– Secure supplies needed for festival week (e.g. thank-you gifts for performers, snacks for backstage, etc.)
Production
– Register and help stage manage performers and event suppliers during events
– Chaperone international performers throughout festival week (e.g. meeting them at the airport, accompanying them to media interviews, etc.)
– Assist with vendor & sponsor load-in and load-out (e.g. show vendors and sponsors to their booth locations, ensure clear pathways for vehicles to drive safely, etc)
Post-production
– Collect feedback from performers and event suppliers
– Recommend improvements to performer processes, supplier processes and live event processes
Program Coordinator
Pre-production
– Sending specs to suppliers to obtain quotes for services
– Selecting artists and suppliers for projects that are within budget and meet the project’s goals
– Receiving and sending invoices, contracts and advancing documents to artists, suppliers, schools, seniors groups and community organizations
– Organizing logistical information received from artists, suppliers, vendors, sponsors and community organizations in order to create load-in/load-out schedules and ensure a smooth experience on-site at events
Production
– Scheduling artists for performances, school workshops, senior workshops and other engagements
– Overseeing artists, suppliers and load-in/load-out processes during events
Post-production
– Collecting feedback from and updating processes regarding artists, suppliers, schools, seniors groups and community organizations
– Tracking program statistics for reports to funders (e.g. number of workshop participants, etc.)
Consultant Roles
Starting at $44,850 annualized(not all contracts are annual, please see descriptions)
Sponsorships Consultant
Pre-production
– Develop benefits for different sponsorship levels and create a sponsorship campaign calendar
Production
– Contact sponsors and agencies to pitch benefits, and oversee the fulfillment of benefits for all deals made
Post-production
– Document best practices and recommend improvements to pitch materials (sponsor decks, direct emails, online content, videos etc) based on data
NOTE: Non-exclusive (consultant may have other non-competing clients), 11-month seasonal contract, 0.8 FTE, renewable annually
Production Consultant
Pre-production
– Create stage plots, show run schedules & tech run sheets and place A/V orders
Production
– Manage the flow & timing of sound checks and stage performances
Post-production
– Document best practices and recommendations for future events
Videographer
monstrARTity regularly engages videographers and video editors for various projects, such as:
Capturing archival footage at live events
Creating 30-second TV ads for #BollywoodMonster Mashup
Interviewing local artists and community members about the impact of monstrARTity’s programs

Looking for Field Placements?
Students studying in Arts Administration, Event Marketing, Event Management and similar fields are welcome to apply to any of the “Associate” level roles listed above for field placements. Please specify in your application whether you’re looking for a paid or unpaid placement. All placement students will automatically be considered for FT or PT paid positions at the end of their placement.

Positions will support the following programs:
1) #BollywoodMonster Mashup, a free multi-day South Asian arts festival with concerts, dance, food, family activities and celebrity meet & greets;
2) #MonsterArts for Youth and Seniors, where professional artists provide South Asian arts workshops in the community; and
3) #MonsterMasterclass, a business & marketing mentorship program for professional artists practicing South Asian art forms
MonsterArts is a hybrid team. Independent work takes place remotely while live events, weekly Tuesday team meetings and other stakeholder meetings are in-person in Mississauga. Please note that because we produce events, our in-person requirements are non-negotiable.
